HOW TO SCHEDULE A SUCCESSFUL AUTHOR VISIT

PICK A DATE
It’s a good idea to invite the author 3 months to 12 months ahead of your scheduled event. The earlier you plan, the more likely you’ll get your choice of dates. For regular school visits prepare to be flexible in finding a date that works for everyone.

CHOOSE A PROGRAM
Think of the age group you’d like to reach and select a program accordingly. Miguel will work with you to achieve your specific goals.

CONTACT
Miguel presents up to four school programs at the same venue in one day.  For an evening family program, on overnight visit may be added. The host will provide an honorarium plus travel expenses. Written confirmation is required. If an invoice or other paperwork is needed please contact the author in advance so payment is ready on the day of the visit.  Contact Link

PREPARE THE AUDIENCE
Make sure the students are familiar with Miguel's work. They can prepare for visit by downloading vector golf artwork here, that they can color and hand up in and around classroom to remind them of the up coming event. They’ll be excited about the visit, be attentive and ask good questions.

PUBLICIZE THE EVENT
The more people know about the event, the better the turnout!

ORDER BOOKS
Think of including Miguel's Children's book in your  order. Miguel will sign all the books you purchase either with students at the event or in advance whichever you prefer. Keep in mind time to coordinate the appropriate amount of time needed to do so.
