My First Lesson With Bob Lewis The Vanilla Gorilla

In 2016 I had the pleasure of driving almost one hundred miles away to meet and take lessons from Bob Lewis. I found him online as the closest instructor who teaches the single plane swing, and talk about a unique name. He was so sweet and friendly and did a great job of incorporating the tech side of the lesson in the background. He made my trip to Ventura well worth it. I went back a few weeks later and had another lesson. Saticoy Regional Golf Course is located mid-way between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara in Ventura, CA.

This blog post and the podcast interview with him, (Which was my first epsiode of the pod) is a tribute to my friend and my instructor. I had the pleasure of recording a podcast with Bob, and tragicly a short time after that recording I got news that he had passed away. Bob left a lasting impression on me and those he came in contact with.
